Grace Cottage has been helping expectant teen mothers for the past eight years at 311 N. Witte in Poteau.
The property has been leased to Grace Cottage at a very reasonable rate by a very gracious donor. But due to a financial need in the family, the home owner feels the necessity to sell the home that houses the Crisis Center.
The home is now up for sale at a cost of $110,000.
The board of directors is now being faced with either moving to another location or purchase the property themselves.
The board has decided that they would like to raise the money and purchase the home that has helped so many throughout the years.
"We have already received funds and pledges, "said Nancy Putnam, Executive Director of Grace Cottage. "One is for $4,000 and now thanks to Calhoun Baptist Church we have received $5,000 more. But, we are still a long way from attaining our goal."
Grace Cottage is licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and is a non-profit organization. They offer both residential and non residential care free of charge.
